Information Architecture

Information Architecture >> Website Redesign. Our process was born out of a need to properly scope our website development projects. If you are considering a site redesign, learn more about how Knucklepuck uses Information Architecture to inform our web development scope.

Establishing an optimal site structure is crucial for users and search engines to efficiently navigate your site. Given how the information architecture informs the organizational hierarchy of the entire site, typically this exercise takes place at the beginning of a site redesign or large content reorganization effort.

We start with a Kickoff Meeting to get background context on your goals and speak to you directly about your vision for the site. From there, our team catalogs all of the required pages and presents a site structure designed to support intuitive navigation for users and search engines. We review the IA with you and, if necessary, make updates until we have your approval on the full and complete scope for the new hierarchy.

Information Architecture is delivered as a flowmap to clearly illustrate the recommended organizational structure.
